Intro
Searchmetrics is an SEO and content performance platform with a historical database containing over 250 billion pieces of information, such as keyword rankings, search terms, social links, and backlinks. To learn more about the Searchmetrics API, visit their page (http://api.searchmetrics.com/v3/documentation).
You connect to your Searchmetrics account in the Data Center. This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the Searchmetrics connector user interface. General information for adding DataSets, setting update schedules, and editing DataSet information is discussed in Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.
Prerequisites
To connect to your Searchmetrics account and create a DataSet, you must have the following:

A Searchmetrics API key

An Searchmetrics API secret
You can view and generate these credentials by opening your account settings in Searchmetrics and then going to My API.

FAQs
Are there any API limits I should be aware of?
If you receive an error because your rate limit was exceeded, try shifting your queries to nighttime and weekend hours. SearchMetrics allows higher request rate limits during these times due to overall lower number of requests.
How often can the data be updated?
As often as needed.
